A summary of match report, with thanks
Griffith coach Will Griggs is not entirely happy with how the Swans are travelling despite their undefeated start to the season. The Swans made it three straight wins to the start the year on Saturday when they scored a 27-point win over Narrandera, 13.7 (85) to 8.10 (58) at Narrandera Sportsground. Griffith played their best footy to begin, kicking five goals to one in the opening quarter but there was not a great deal between the two teams after that. The Eagles never got in a winning position but matched it with the Swans for the last three quarters. Jacob Conlan booted four goals for Griffith in a strong performance, while Swans teenager Kahlan Spencer kicked two goals and impressed again with another good game. James Toscan continued his strong start to the year at full-back and Mick Duncan won plenty of the football. Meanwhile, Narrandera ruckman Ben Perry played another good game for Narrandera, while Blake Renet and Joe Grinter were others to shine on Saturday. Griffith now have two weeks odd with the bye followed by the representative bye where Griggs said the Swans will embark on a 'mini pre-season'. (By Matt Malone - Monday May 6, 2019).
