GRIFFITH NOTES: "Riverina Football Record" May 15, 1988 - No. 5

What a day! Three games, three great victories. To start the day the Netballers recorded a great win. Paula ‘Darrell Collins of Netball’ Tyson played really well, and Rosemary and Louise deserve mention for top efforts. (Yay Roy for the tops!!).

The 2nds had a great win. Tangalooma Tony Pianca won the mug for a dynamic display, Rob Dolan played well, Brian Bellincanta did a great job and Steve ‘Gary Part’ Brown was unstoppable! Steve Best knocked up getting kicks at CHB, and Chalkie Thompson was great in a top team display.

The Seniors had a great win! They played great football and ran their opponents ragged. Ducky O’Donnell had 3 million touches as did Darrell Collins. Tricks Guthrie was great at half forward, while ‘Wood Road’ Williams and ‘Back Pocket’ Specialist’ Dreyer tackled all day. Danny ‘I’m Loud When Drinking’ Files was best on the ground in his best senior game to date! They had no passengers and ‘Stats’ Harrington can vouch for that. The young blokes did well again, I could go on all day about performers, but I won’t. Well done fellas!

The social was even more successful than the footy. Mark Sutton played a blinder kicking about 10 goals. Dave Johnson tried to dominate but was overpowered by Danny ‘Grand Poobah’ Files! Let’s keep it going fellas, both on the field and socially! Four more wins and continued festivities!
