SWANS CLUB NOTES: Riverina Football Record June 25, 2000 - No 12.

Last Saturday at Leeton was another mixed day, with our Reserves and the Netballers once again being the shining lights. For the Firsts and Under 18's it was a day that would rather be forgotten, with the loss making our finals aspirations rather difficult, so now each game is for our survival to make the September action.

Although we weren't successful in all grades, we still enjoyed a great night at the Exies-on-Burrell, at the mid-season fancy dress Ball. Thank you to all the guys and girls for making an effort to dress up, which makes it a rather special night. I think everyone will remember it for a long time to come. Thank you to Brett McAlister and staff from Elders Pastoral for sponsoring the game last week.

Awards for the 1sts starts with Andrew 'Austin Powers' Hill racking another Exies Dinner for Two and the Players Mug, with a more than 'shaggerdelic' performance. Jon 'Judge Judy' O'Dwyer won the Snuggle-In voucher. Damien 'Darth Vader' Scott took out the McDonalds Mitre 10 award, while Myles Bunn won the Ron's Auto One award. David 'Drag Queen' Curran took out the McDonalds voucher and almost a young man with a more than impressive costume on the night, Jeff 'Jughead' Mickan will be filling up at Caltex with the petrol voucher in hand.

In the 2nds it was another great performance, Rodney 'You're the Man' Duncan was the first winner of the Griffith Exies Bottle Shop voucher, Graham Male took out the Autobarn award, while Danny 'Dracula' Beriman won the McDonalds voucher. Luke Condon stepped up to win the Griffith Laundry Service voucher, and the Players Mug was jointly destroyed between Danny Beriman and Rodney Duncan.

In the 18s it was Stan Gash taking home the J.D's Party Pizza award, while Ben Ford was again outstanding to win the McDonalds award. Nathan Creevy continued his good form to take the Video Ezy voucher home.

Congrats to Greg and Rachel Dreyer on the birth of their baby boy Connor. Also well done, Barb Wade on Sundays Reverse Draw win. Don't forget this Thursday at the Exies Sports Club, we have a trivia Night starting at 7.30 p.m., it will be $5 per head, with ten to a table. BYO nibbles (see Leanne Scott if you wish to book).

This week's game against Coolamon is jointly sponsored by Quiprite and Bob & Helen Tyndall, which both the club and players would like to thank you for your support. Today it's win at all costs for the Firsts to get our season back on track even though everyone has written us off, it's not over until the large diaphragmed lady mounts the podium and starts singing. Good Luck to All Grades!!
